Dr. Christoph Schröder joined TVM Capital in 2004 as a Life Science Venture Partner. He is a seasoned life sciences executive with experience at BASF Pharma, numerous private investments in European and U.S. biotech companies. He has successfully managed more than 80 M&A and licensing transactions with an aggregated transaction volume of more than € 5bn on behalf of clients in the life sciences and biotech industries.
At BASF Pharma he was a member of the company’s London-based Executive Board and was President of two corporate functions: Global Production/Supply Chain and Corporate Marketing. Prior to this, Dr. Schröder was Head of Strategy/M&A and Managing Director for BASF Pharma’s operations in the UK and Ireland.
Following BASF Pharma’s acquisition by Abbott Laboratories in 2001, Dr. Schröder became a partner with JSB Partners, L.P., a specialized transatlantic investment banking and advisory firm in the life sciences industry, with offices in Berlin, Boston and Munich. In this capacity, he successfully executed several private placements, M&A and licensing transactions on behalf of biotech clients.
As a board member for several private companies and institutions, Dr. Schröder plays a key role advising companies regarding investments and transactions. On behalf of TVM Capital, he currently holds board seats at Biotie(Turku, Finland), Probiodrug AG (Halle, Germany), elbion NV (Leuven,Belgium) and Riemser AG (Greifswald/Leipzig, Germany).
Dr. Schröder earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the Technische Universität in Berlin and graduated in Business Administration from Ludwig Maximilians-Universität in Munich.
