Dr. Kia Parssanedjad joined TVM Capital in 2007, and is a Principal in the firm's life sciences practice where he focuses on clinical development stage to commercial stage investments. Dr. Parssanedjad is actively involved in TVM Capital's investments into Riemser Arzneimittel AG, EUSA Pharma and Direvo Biotech AG.
Dr. Parssanedjad brings to TVM Capital strategic consulting as well as startup experience. He has a track record in buyout transactions, growth strategy development, marketing and sales, and business building in the healthcare area, the pharmaceutical and the medical devices industry. He has completed medical studies at the University of Essen, Germany, at Harvard University, Boston, USA and at St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore, India and holds a doctor degree for his molecular biological work in the field of gene therapy.
Prior to joining TVM Capital, he worked as an Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company, where he served pharmaceutical and private equity clients. Prior to this he has been working at and with startup companies at Venturepark Incubator AG. Kia speaks Farsi (mother tongue) and is fluent in English and German.
