Marios Fotiadis

General Partner

Mr. Marios Fotiadis joined TVM Capital in November 2007, and is a General Partner in the firm's life sciences practice, based in Munich.

Mr. Fotiadis has over 8 years of investing experience at SG Capital Partners ("SGCP") and Advent International ("Advent"). While at SGCP and Advent, he has led, or participated in, the commitment of over $150 million of equity capital in 11 investments in transactions involving both Private Equity and Venture Capital.

At SGCP, Mr. Fotiadis initially worked on Private Equity investments involving mostly growth capital transactions in mid-size U.S. companies focusing on the Life Sciences and Business Services sectors. In 2000 he initiated and led the SGCP practice in Life Sciences, where he led the commitment of over $85 million in 8 transactions involving both VC and growth capital investments. He then continued his VC career in Life Sciences at Advent, where he invested in Life Science companies both in the US and Europe.

In addition to his investing experience, Mr. Fotiadis was an investment banker focusing on M&A transactions at SG Cowen in New York and also was the CEO of Achillion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ "ACHN", New Haven, CT), a biotechnology company focused on the development of anti-infective drugs.

Mr. Fotiadis served on the Board of Directors of several private and public companies, including Anadys Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ "ANDS"), Achillion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ "ACHN"), Trident Pharmaceuticals (Boston, MA), Spear Therapeutics (London, UK), Ricerca Biosciences (Cleveland, OH), Hunter Fleming Ltd. (Bristol, UK). He holds an MBA degree from Columbia University and a BS degree from the University of Denver.
