Dr. de Baey-Diepolder joined TVM Capital in 2001, and is a Partner for life sciences in the firm’s Munich office. She is a member of the board of directors of Vivendy Therapeutics AG (Basel, Switzerland). She also represents the interests of TVM Capital as an observer to the board of Nitec Pharma AG (Reinach, Switzerland) and Albireo Pharma Ltd. (Gothenburg, Sweden). At TVM Capital, she works on the due diligence of new investment opportunities, analyzing the medical need and the scientific validity of novel therapeutics and platforms. She also provides support to TVM Capital portfolio companies regarding business development and other operational issues. She brings clinical experience in the fields of dermatology, allergology and autoimmune diseases. Her main interest are biologicals, new targets or drug formats addressing real medical needs.
Before joining TVM Capital, Dr. de Baey-Diepolder led a research group at Micromet AG that developed therapeutic vaccines and she was also involved in pre-clinical assay development for the new antibody formats. She received her postdoctoral training as a fellow of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft at the Basel Institute for Immunology. She has published several papers in leading immunological journals.
Prior to her post-doctoral training she has worked for two years as a dermatologist at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University.
Dr. de Baey-Diepolder studied medicine at the Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany, and the Technical University in Munich. She holds a doctorate magna cum laude from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich in the field of human genetics.
