Christian Claussen joined TVM Capital in June 1998, and is a General Partner in the firm's technology investment practice. Focusing on communications and Internet-enabling technologies, he leads or co-leads TVM Capital's investments as a director of Arteris S.A., CoreOptics Inc., Definiens AG, Infitel International NV and Netviewer AG and works actively as an observer on the board of Silicon Hive N.V. He also managed the firm's interests in Telesnap AG (acquired by Netwise AB), Time AG (acquired by Genesys S.A.) and Tantau Inc. (acquired by 724 Solutions).
Prior to joining TVM Capital, Mr. Claussen was responsible for strategic business development and product line management in optical transmission networks, a $1.5 billion business unit in Siemens' Public Networking Group. Before going into venture capital, he spent more than eight years building his operational experience in the international telecommunications industry including an international sales assignment in the Philippines.
Mr. Claussen holds a European MSc. degree in communications engineering from the Technical University of Karlsruhe in Germany, the University of Essex in Great Britain and the Ecole Superieure en Electronique et Electrotechnique in France.
