Edward Braginsky joined TVM Capital in 2005 as a General Partner in the firm’s Boston office, where he focuses on business software, digital media and Internet infrastructure and applications. With more than 20 years of technical and operational experience, Mr. Braginsky brings to TVM Capital a long track record in building transatlantic software companies. Prior to joining TVM Capital, he consulted to several well-known venture capital firms and business software companies in the Boston area, including Systinet (acquired by Mercury), IMLogic (acquired by Symantec), Radianz (acquired by BT) and Authentica (acquired by EMC).
Mr. Braginsky currently represents TVM Capital on the boards of ExtendMedia, Inc. and Impress Software Solutions, Inc..
Before joining the venture capital industry, Mr. Braginsky was a member of the founding executive team of BEA Systems where he held several leadership positions including Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Corporate Business Development. While at BEA, he played a key role in orchestrating numerous acquisitions and led BEA’s investments in several successful software startups, including PentaSafe (acquired by NetIQ), YOUcentric (acquired by J.D. Edwards), TimesTen (acquired by Oracle), Wily (acquired by CA), and System Access (acquired by SunGard).
Prior to BEA, Mr. Braginsky held operating positions at Fidelity Investments, DLJ Securities, Digital Equipment Corporation and MIT. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in computer science from Boston University.
