ClearCube Launches Japan Operations
ClearCube Japan and Partners to Drive Sales and Marketing of PC Blade Solutions in Japan
TOKYO, Japan and AUSTIN, Texas - March 28, 2005 - ClearCube Technology, the market leader and pioneer in PC blade computing, today announced the establishment of its Japan operations. Led by 15-year Japan IT industry veteran Kevin Hansen, the new organization will drive sales and marketing of the innovative ClearCube solution through channel partners in Japan, including Hitachi Systems and Services, Ltd., IBM Japan Ltd., Infocom Corporation, and NTTPC Communications.
ClearCube has been providing PC blade solutions to Japanese customers through its partners since 2003. The ClearCube solution has been embraced by leading companies in industries such as manufacturing, financial services, and media.
According to Kumi Shingyouchi, Senior Market Analyst of Personal Computing and Digital Imaging at IDC Japan, "the spread of PCs throughout Japanese corporations has boosted productivity but also led to the emergence of new issues such as information security and higher network management costs. IDC believes that PC blades will help solve these issues, especially for large enterprises."
ClearCube's new Japan organization will be 100 percent owned by ClearCube Technology and led by Kevin Hansen, who has more than 15 years of sales and general management experience in Japan and the Asia Pacific region. Most recently, Hansen was general manager of Micromuse Japan K.K., a provider of business assurance and fault identification software solutions.
"ClearCube already has tremendous momentum in Japan," said Hansen. "ClearCube will continue to work with our partners to build on this momentum and deliver the benefits of increased security, manageability, and ease of use to our Japanese customers."
The ClearCube solution is based on a simple but powerful concept: centralize all PC computing assets into PC Blades at a secured location, with end-users connected to these blades through small devices called User Ports. The result is a dramatic improvement in the ease, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of managing the entire PC infrastructure. The ClearCube management software enables IT staff to remotely manage the infrastructure from anywhere in the world and to consistently deliver on demand computing to users according to their needs. By deploying the ClearCube solution, customers realize 99.9 percent uptime, stronger data and physical security, and at least a 40 percent reduction in support costs while providing end users with a full PC or workstation experience.
