We have long been a leader in international investing — from our European base we first expanded into the United States which is the most mature market for the technologies and products of our companies and which offered the largest domestic market and hence growth opportunities. From 2006 we set the scene for building a Healthcare Private Equity Team in Dubai which we announced in early 2010 covering the MENA region and Asia.
